It’s quite fun and this part made me laugh out loud: “It will come as little surprise to British readers that Sondheim enjoyed the cryptic crosswords published in UK newspapers, but when it came to coming up with his own puzzles for American readers, well – how does one put this politely? The level of difficulty was adjusted accordingly.”
What a lovely British way of putting it!
